For four months I went on a boat adventure, taking myself and my narrowboat home from London to Yorkshire on a pilgrimage I can’t quite explain. To Yockenthwaite, a remote place in the Yorkshire Dales with nothing but a farmhouse, a stone bridge and a stone circle - and a place after which a puppet I loved in a 90′s children’s tv show was named. I filmed as I went along, meeting people sometimes but being mostly alone. The intention is to create a reflective and slow documentary of Britain’s canals and countryside, and a new wave of nomadic living on our inland waterways.
